The teachers, counselors, administrators, support staff, parent and students have committed to a Freshman Academy. The academy will be composed of four houses consisting of one mathematics teacher, one science teacher, and two English teachers with the vision of designing a systemic and personalized approach to ensuring that each individual student is successful in achieving four year academic success in high school with ultimate goal being students who have mastered all the universal skills necessary for all potential academic futures and professional careers.
We believe that to achieve this we have designed and created an academy whose identity is defined by the following three overall philosophies:
Prepare every student for the basic universal skills required in all areas of academic and professional life.
Integrating the racially, culturally, and socio-economically diverse population of incoming freshman into a cohesive class that is invested in their school, community, and peers.
Adopting and implementing the thematic idea of accountability, actions, and consequence for each individual student, teacher, support staff member, and parent.
