Dear Cheer Parents (s)/Guardian(s),

I would like to start off by noting how pleased I was to meet many of you during our Shakey's Pizza Fundraiser event on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. It was a true honor and I look forward to future opportunities and events that would allow parents to get involved with cheer. Additionally, I want to sincerely thank you for your continuous patience and understanding with the many unexpected transitions at our school. I truly appreciate your tolerance and support; I can not thank you all enough!

Thus, with the various changes, I have updated several dates and cheer camp. I ask that you respectfully adhere to all of the due dates and to ALL scheduled practices as they are mandatory in order to be eligible to cheer the football team during their season in September.

Note, for each unexcused absence during the summer, the student/cheerleader will be asked to miss a football game and the week's pep rally performance. Always remember that LAUSD's policies will be highly enforced at all times.

Practice Schedule

• Breaks will be given periodically throughout our practice times.
• See attached document, Summer Cheer Practice Reminders, for information on what to bring to each scheduled practice.

July Practices:

The listed dates are when mandatory practices will take place from 12:30-3:30 pm

(Locations: 12:30 in B4; 1:30 in the quad; 2:30 in the dance room)

July: 6th, 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 26th, 27th, and 28th

August Practices:

On these listed dates, practice will take place from 8:00-11:00 am with the exception of cheer camp (see below for details).

(Locations: 8:00-in the dance room; 9:00 in the quad; 10:00 in B4)

August: 15th, 16th, 17th,

TBD: August 2nd, 4th and 18th

Cheer Camp

• Camp will take place on August 8th and 9th
• Schedule times for are from 8:00 am-4:30 pm (approximately)
• The location for camp will be determined soon
