Tim Bergeron, Head Boys' & Girls Coach
After graduating from Eagle Rock HS, Tim studied 4 years at University of California, Berkeley where he majored in Political Science. Upon returning from college he assistant coached under Thomas Puzio for 1 girls season and 2 boys seasons before taking over the head coaching positions in 2007 (Tim's first head coaching position). In 2010 Bergeron completed a teaching credential in Physical Education/Technology at CalState Northridge. Tim is currently seeking a full time teaching position in LAUSD at Eagle Rock High School; where he is currently the volleyball head coach, civic center gym site coordinator, and Los Angeles Volleyball Coaches' Association President. Tim played volleyball 4 years at Eagle Rock HS; three years varsity. He was a member of the 1998 3A City Finalist team and finished his career in 2000 with two league championships. Tim was also the 2000 boys varsity team captain, team MVP, and 2nd Team All-City as an outside hitter. After high school Bergeron continued to play volleyball recreationally at open gyms, Westside tournaments, and ERHS alumni events. Tim has been playing, coaching, or around volleyball for 15 years. At Eagle Rock, Tim has coached 12 players to the All-City team, 33 to the all-league team, 10 league players of the year, & won a combined 7 league championships. The boys record includes a CIF Championship Runner-Up in 2010. Bergeron believes that hard work, dedication, enthusiasm, and passion drive success. Coach Suvaroporn graduated from Eagle Rock HS in 2011 and returns to the program as the girls head JV coach. Naphat is currently a student at Pasadena City College. At Eagle Rock, Naphat played varsity for two years, winning back to back league championships with a record of 22-0. His two years on varsity finished in the CIF semi-finals and finals. His senior year he received 1st Team All-City as Libero. Naphat's expertise includes defensive anticipation, setting, and serving. Matthew Cecconi, Assistant Coach
Matthew is a varsity team captain for the 2011-12 boys varsity team. He assists with the girls varsity team and the girls FS team. As a player Matthew was JV MVP as a sophomore and played DS for the boys varsity team during the 2010-11 varsity season. Matthew specializes in advanced strategy, character development, and positive energy. |
