Dear Parents,

You are cordially invited to attend an important meeting regarding your child. During this meeting we must elect a group of parents that will serve on the English Language Advisory Committee.

             Where:  Eagle Rock High School Library

            When:   Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at 6:00 p.m.

This is a very important meeting, especially for those parents whose children are classified as English learners.  This year our school will receive funding for approximately 250 students who are not deemed proficient in English.  State law requires that the school form an English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC), which will advise the administration on ways to use these funds and on ways to improve the program. Without your participation the school will be out of compliance and we could lose our funding.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend.  Participating in the election is one of the best ways to voice your concerns about the programs that affect your children.  A representative from the district will be here to will be here to conduct the election.

Refreshments will be served.  Prizes will be raffled away.
