Course Description: This is an inquiry-based class. Our goal is to grow in our understanding of the function of language in order to communicate more effectively. We will study materials that will help us understand who we are and what our role will be in this increasingly global world. We will analyze multiple perspectives presented in literature and expository texts and produce complex writing assignments. English 9AB is organized into three standards-based instructional components that focus on persuasion, exposition, and literary analysis, integrating skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
