About AP Studio Art:

AP Studio Art is a self-guided course. The course allows each student to explore concepts and ideas, which express individual style and technique. Successful completion of the AP Studio Art portfolio submission results in college credit. Therefore, there is not an emphasis on learning technique, you should already be well versed in your specific genre, medium, and style. Each student will develop a portfolio based on a concentration, which you will ultimately select with my input. A successful AP student is one who is truly committed to learning and succeeding. The course is intense and requires that you complete approximately 1 work of art every one-and-a-half weeks. Be prepared to work!
